Our verdict: the most complete Mexican Train app. Mexican Train Dominoes Gold lets you play the full 13-round game or a quick Blitz, set your own house rules, and pass the device around for family game night. It’s free, with ads and an optional upgrade.
Best for: Mexican Train fans who play against the computer or with family in the same room.
What Is Mexican Train Dominoes Gold?

Your House Rules
Every family plays Mexican Train a little differently. The app lets you change house rules, so you can set it up the way you play at home. For the most common variations, see our Mexican Train FAQ.
Playing With Family
This is where the app earns its place on family game night. Pass and Play lets up to three friends join you on one device: you hand the phone or tablet around the table. If everyone has their own device, you can also play together over the same WiFi network.
There’s no internet play against strangers, so it’s built for people in the same room rather than across the country.
Playing the Computer
On your own, you play 3- or 4-player games against computer opponents. When the standard opponents get easy, switch on the Advanced computer players for a tougher game.
Is Mexican Train Dominoes Gold Free?
Yes. The app is free to download and play, and it shows ads. A one-time Gold Upgrade costs $3.99. There are also small purchases such as retrying or winning a round, which you can ignore.
